I'm getting a little stressed about finding a job in my field. Every web developer ad I find, it's either contract, or they want skills that I would need to take more courses for. I have come across about two or three ads that I was qualified for (even though they wanted 3+ years experience) and I applied but never heard back. It's really discouraging. Especially with my parents on my case about it.
I really want to move to Toronto. If I had the money, I'd be on my way right now. I even found an apartment (I actually checked it out in person in 2004), now I just need a high paying job. No less than $12/hr or I can't afford to move out. I would probably need a roomie too, but everyone already has one! Ugh.
My summer is starting to fill up more everyday! I'm excited! So far here is what is planned:
June 27th: Shelley & Jess's going away bash
June 28th & 29th: Margarita Party @ my house
July 12th & 13th: Oshawa/Whitby for Rachel's bday
August 2nd, 3rd & 4th: Annual August Party @ my house (Parents host it)
August 9th: Rebel Meetup in Toronto
August 23rd & 24th: Corn roast in Tweed(I'm just assuming this is the date, I just know it's near the end of the month)
I'm hoping to go to Wicked and/or Backstreet Boys too in August. I'm just hoping to get tickets.

Hmm... I hope I do get to go back to school for that.. I'm in a rut and in so much credit card dept.
Unpaid Volunteer work would definatly get expensive. But it explains your HUGE ASS train case! lol (which I'm very jealous of, btw. haha).
Where would you want to go to school?
You can also look into placement agencies. The one I went to in Toronto was called Creative Niche.... http://www.creativeniche.ca/
Cold call. E-mail your resume, then call again to see if they received it. Do follow up e-mails. Apply like mental, online. To any and every job posting that has anything remotely to do with your experience. I just checked my e-mail adn I sent 356 e-mails when I was looking for a job. I had over thirty interviews in the KW region as well as in Toronto... I lost all hope, but then I went to a placement agency and in less than a week I had a permanent fulltime position.
Go for it! What have you got to loose? If all else fails, you can move back in with your parents, right? :)
